Nola Sporn Smith is a dance & theater artist from Brooklyn, NY. As a performer, she has worked with cakeface/Amanda Szeglowski, Nicole Mannarino, Stacy Grossfield, Donna Uchizono, Eryka Dellenbach, Kensaku Shinohara, & others. Nola was nominated for a 2019 “Bessie” Outstanding Performer Award for her performance in Grossfield's metamorphosis at The Kitchen. Her ongoing collaborations with Molly Ross as MOLLY&NOLA have been presented throughout NYC (most recently at Judson Church and Center for Performance Research), and in Philadelphia and Albuquerque. The two were awarded a LiftOff Residency by New Dance Alliance in 2021, and will be developing their work STEER into an evening-length piece in 2023. She is also a caretaker of The Woods, a rehearsal space and venue for artists located in Ridgewood, Queens.
